Ben's photo is a framed photograph that Benjamin Linus keeps near his desk even when he travels. ("Through the Looking Glass") The continuity of the same prop has been maintained through at least three episodes: "One of Us", "The Brig", and "Through the Looking Glass".

The photograph is of a young black-haired girl, presumably his adopted daughter Alex, similar to many photos hanging in Ben's house in the Barracks, although she may be another individual known only in photographs. ("One of Us")

A duplicate of the photograph in a different frame sat on a shelf in Ben's house, both before and after the Others' abandonment of the Barracks. ("Meet Kevin Johnson")

• Is this girl actually Alex?
• What is Ben's degree of sentimental attachment to the girl in the photo?
