This page will show the group of "main characters" and the roster changes through the seasons. Occasionally, sometimes the actors that play these characters will still be credited as guest stars after they have left the main cast, such as for guest appearances in flashbacks, or brief on-island appearances (i.e. Walt in "Three Minutes" or "Live Together, Die Alone"), or vice versa (i.e. Desmond and Ben present in some scenes of Season 2, but not joining as main cast until Season 3).

"The Greater Good" to "Exodus, Part 2" - Boone dies - 13

"Man of Science, Man of Faith" to "Adrift" - Walt is taken - 12

"Orientation" to "Collision" - Ana Lucia, Mr. Eko and Libby are added to cast - 15

"What Kate Did" to "?" - Shannon is killed, buried - 14

"Three Minutes" to "Live Together, Die Alone" - Ana Lucia and Libby killed, buried - 12

"Live Together, Die Alone" to "A Tale of Two Cities" - Michael leaves island - 11

"The Glass Ballerina" to "The Cost of Living" - Desmond, Ben, Juliet, Nikki and Paulo are added to cast - 16

"I Do" to "Exposé"- Eko is killed - 15

"Left Behind" to "Greatest Hits" - Nikki and Paulo are buried alive - 13

"Through the Looking Glass" to "The Beginning of the End" - Charlie drowns in The Looking Glass - 12

"Confirmed Dead" to "The Other Woman" - Daniel, Charlotte and Miles are added to cast - 15

"Ji Yeon" to "There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3" - Michael returns as a regular - 16

"There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3" to ... - Michael dies when the freighter explodes - 15
