Personnel
An F-Mission is a task undertaken by any number of the people from the freighter, introduced in Season 4. Please note that during the Season, the freighter team became divided, with many having their own agenda, meaning some missions in which the freighter team are involved in are in the A-Missions and B-Missions when Miles, Charlotte, Faraday and Frank spent time with the original survivors and the people who joined them (Ben, Desmond, etc).

| Discoveries: The Orchid station
| Relation to Lost storyline: Miles told the survivors that his people were coming specifically for Ben, which Ben later confirmed ("Confirmed Dead"). Miles approached Ben, attempting to extort 3.2 million dollars from him in exchange for his freedom ("Eggtown"). Captain Gault stated that Ben was the one responsible for the staged wreckage of Flight 815 ("Ji Yeon"). At the Barracks, Miles reaffirmed the mercenaries intent to everyone present ("Meet Kevin Johnson"). The attack for Ben's capture began with an explosive attack on the Barracks ("The Shape of Things to Come"). The attack failed and Keamy retreated to the Kahana to regroup and to execute the secondary protocol ("Cabin Fever"). Upon arriving at The Orchid station, Keamy and his men reconnoitered the area without knowing that Ben was approaching the station. As Ben neared the exterior of the Orchid and found the mercenaries waiting for him, he quickly explained the station to Locke and Hurley and told them to remain behind. Ben surrendered to Keamy, pre-empting the need to execute the Secondary Protocol ("There's No Place Like Home, Part 1"). Having captured Ben, Keamy and his troops moved him to the rendesvous with Lapidus and his helicopter. At this point, using Kate as a deception, Sayid and the Others, led by Richard, engaged the mercenaries. All Keamy's troops were killed and Keamy himself was thought to have been killed. Ben was freed.

| Corresponding B-Mission:

| Background: Keamy's original plan was to simply capture Ben Linus and leave the Island. The failure of the first attempt at the Barracks led Keamy to review the plans for "torching the island," the Secondary Protocol.
| Discoveries: None
| Relation to Lost storyline: The mission involved taking control of the Orchid; otherwise, "torching the Island" was never fully explained. Keamy abandoned his first attempt when Ben surrendered himself at the upper/exterior portion of the Orchid. When Keamy regained consciousness and found that all his troops had been killed, he returned to the Orchid, this time traveling to its lower level. Keamy revealed the dead-man switch he was wearing, probably believing that action would keep Ben from attacking him. He misjudged Ben and died, causing the destructing off the Kahana. The methodology and goal of the Secondary Protocol were never revealed.
