Featured Article Selection is where editors can nominate high standard articles to be featured as article of the week (commonly referred to as AOTW). Such pages will feature on Lostpedia's homepage in recognition of its contribution to the betterment of the site as a whole. Below are instructions on how to nominate and vote. SysOps moderate this discussion and will either add an article to be a future AOTW, or remove it from this page.

- Yes: I think this is a worthy article for the article of the week. --Jabrwocky7 12:42, 11 July 2006 (PDT)
- No: This article needs some work before it can be seriously considered. --Jabrwocky7 12:42, 11 July 2006 (PDT)
The Other 48 Days
- Nominated by: bringlibbyandcharlieback Talk Contribs 11:16, 30 June 2008 (PDT)
- Besides this episode being brilliant and the best in season 2, it is neat, tidy and easy to follow. It laid down the building blocks for Ana Lucia, Libby, Eko, Bernard and other tail section survivors. The episode is like a season within an episode with unimportant and boring details left out.
- No: The summary's not really good enough, in my opinion. -- Sam T C 08:38, 2 July 2008 (PDT)
- No: Maybe in the future but not now. Sentences like "A Zach with a teddy bear points out his sister floating in the water." need work. -Mr.Leaf 18:06, 7 August 2008 (PDT)
The Lost Experience
- Nominated by: --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 11:23, 18 March 2007 (PDT)
- This page has been viewed 452,398 times, making it the fourth most viewed page on Lostpedia (behind the Main Page, Season 3, and the Blast Door Map). What I think seperates Lostpedia from other Lost sites is our coverage of the Lost Experience. It's a good page and well organized, one that Lostpedia should be proud of. --Mr. Crabby (Talk)
Yes of not already featured: Very well written article, i agree with everything your saying, but for some reason i remember this being AOTW in the past. Correct me if im wrong. -- Iron Man Send a message View contributions 11:38, 26 March 2007 (PDT)
- We've had The Lost Experience revelations amongst other TLE articles, but never the main one --Nickb123 (Talk) 11:44, 26 March 2007 (PDT)
Yes -- Iron Man Send a message View contributions 11:50, 26 March 2007 (PDT)
- No -- Boring, long, and no pictures. - Comedy240 17:21, 6 March 2007 (PDT)
- I added some pictures per this criticism --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 10:27, 8 April 2007 (PDT)
Yes --It revealed a lot of interesting info about lost (ie what dharma stands for) i think it's a good idea. The statistics point to it, too. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Rhcm123 (talk • contribs) .
- Yes: Although i wasn't a Lost addict at that time, the game itself is very good and deserves to be selected as featured article; the page is good, well-organized, explains the game for the ones that didn't take part in it, but also gives links to the more specific clues and other things about the ones who were in it, so there is no negative thing about it. Maybe if there were another Lost Experience the timing would have been perfect, but still, it's OK cause this 8 month hiatus is for that - looking back at the big things that happened. Also the statistics show the same. -- Steff talk contribs email 10:20, 17 August 2007 (PDT)
- Very Much No-- Very Boring, too long and hard to read 'cause there's so much --Monkeyluck 03:48, 8 September 2007 (PDT)
- Yes: It's a very good article and is interesting to revisit TLE and see if anything new comes into focus after all this time. Particularly interesting now that Widmore is in the show.--TechNic|talk|conts 08:47, 1 May 2008 (PDT)
- Very Much No - as per Moneyluck. --CTS 18:48, 18 May 2008 (PDT)
- Very much No - as per Moneyluck and CTS. bringlibbyandcharlieback Talk Contribs 01:56, 30 June 2008 (PDT)
- Very Much Yes - per Crabby. --Blueeagleislander 22:18, 2 July 2008 (PDT)
- Yes - It can now be used to reference to the upcoming ARG (or i guess already started ARG) and it is an important article. --Mr.Leaf 18:06, 7 August 2008 (PDT)
"So It Begins"
- Nominated by: CTS
- This was by far the most important mobisode. We learn that Christian appeared to Vincent prior to Jack's awakening in "Pilot, Part 1". If there is any mobisode that should be featured, it's this one. --CTS 19:07, 22 May 2008 (PDT)
- Yes. A nice little mobisode that adds more to the mystery of Christian (and Vincent!).--TechNic|talk|conts 20:23, 7 June 2008 (PDT)
- Yes. I don't know about any of you, but that mobisode blew my mind. It was jaw dropping the whole time through. BETTYFIZZW (Talk) 14:41, 9 June 2008 (PDT)
- Slight Disagree. I don't think mobisode articles can work as AotW because they're all so short, and therefore content is usually low. Good mobisode, good article, but too short. --Blueeagleislander 18:27, 14 June 2008 (PDT)
- Slight disagree: as per Blue eagle islander. -- Sam T C 09:41, 2 August 2008 (PDT)
- In the Middle - I agree mobisodes are too short so perhaps an overall AOTW relating the the significance of the mobisobes and anything important learned in them. Essentially we could have more then on AOTW (as many mobisodes as we feel necessary) or even just the main mobisodes page. -Mr.Leaf 18:06, 7 August 2008 (PDT)
There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3
- Nominated by: rbfskywalker
- I think that it is a good episode but it is not about that. good article and its going to get a lot of traffic over the break
- Agree. Yes, this is one of the more thoroughly researched episodes. Someone needs to clean-up the subsection spacing and picture arrangement, though. Looks like someone got too brclear happy with it.
Kevrock talk contribs 10:04, 24 June 2008 (PDT)
- Agree: Brilliant episode, Brilliant article. bringlibbyandcharlieback Talk Contribs 04:38, 2 July 2008 (PDT)
- Not yet: Though the article is high quality, it is already linked to on the wiki's main page. The frozen donkey wheel is the featured article currently. Maybe next year, but not yet. -- Sam T C 12:44, 14 July 2008 (PDT)
- Not yet: Because its the latest episode, theres heaps of unanswered questions and theories, so we should wait til Season 5 to feature this. --Blueeagleislander 01:15, 7 August 2008 (PDT)
- Wait till Season 5 -This would be a perfect article to go up the week before Season 5 starts to refresh everyones minds and this also gives us more time to refine and edit. -Mr.Leaf 18:06, 7 August 2008 (PDT)
- Agree. Yes, this is one of the more thoroughly researched episodes. Someone needs to clean-up the subsection spacing and picture arrangement, though. Looks like someone got too brclear happy with it.
Pilot, Part 1
- Nominated by: Sam McPherson
- Several other episodes, such as "Through the Looking Glass," and "The Man Behind the Curtain," have obtained featured article status. I feel, that in this long break ahead, we should look back on the episode that started it all. The article is also very well written. -- Sam T C 19:45, 20 July 2008 (PDT)
- Yes: I like this one, it sets a good example of how episode articles should be formatted - the prose summaries are not too detailed or therein lack of, the pictures are well organized in the zig-zag fashion to render well on all web browsers, and content is in line with episode manual of style policy. So yeah, I like it. --Nickb123 (Talk) 06:07, 6 August 2008 (PDT)
- Yes: This episode was one of the best Lost episodes out there, and the article is a great reflection of this. --Blueeagleislander 06:13, 6 August 2008 (PDT)
- Agree - Can't see why not. -Mr.Leaf 18:06, 7 August 2008 (PDT)
Character languages
- Nominated by Orhan94
- Slight Disagree: Even though I put a lot of work into this article, don't think it's featured content. The majority of the article is just a list, and even though it has a good juicy text-only section at the bottom, that section isn't good enough to be shown for the whole article, in my opinion. It could probably see a bit more work as well, but it needs some more information for it to be featured content. -- Sam T C 05:57, 6 August 2008 (PDT)
Disagree: as said above, it's not AOTW material. -- CTS Talk Contribs 09:08, 6 August 2008 (PDT)
- Disagree: Too listy. Very good list, not a very good article. --Blueeagleislander 01:15, 7 August 2008 (PDT)
- Disagree - as per above. -Mr.Leaf 18:06, 7 August 2008 (PDT)
DHARMA or The Others
- Nominated by Nickb123
- Major bias cause I rewrote both of these recently. Firstly, they have been featured in the past, but I don't think that should stop re-featuring if the content has significantly changed/improved since the last feature. I nominate both of these pages as it shows how major articles can be categorized (particularly the DHARMA one) effectively. I would prefer DHARMA over the Others, as I still dislike the whole "Others crimes" section as I think its a little verbose. Also having DHARMA links in nicely with the current ARG. --Nickb123 (Talk) 06:19, 6 August 2008 (PDT)
Slight disagree: While I love what you've done with the articles, both have been featured already. -- Sam T C 06:34, 6 August 2008 (PDT)- Yes to Both I eprsonally bleieve these are perhaps the two best articles on the wiki, especially the DHARMA one. --Blueeagleislander 01:15, 7 August 2008 (PDT)
- Agree but later - If we run out of new AOTW i am all for re-using these articles, that's what we did last year during the hiatus. -Mr.Leaf 18:06, 7 August 2008 (PDT)
- Agree but later - these are some of LP's best articles, but we should wait for some others to be feautured first. I also think the DHARMA logos page should be re-featured as well. -- CTS Talk Contribs 20:46, 9 August 2008 (PDT)
The Tempest
- Nominated by Sam McPherson
- I may be biased because I created the article, but it has spun into a well-written article that I feel is AOTW material. It is a very enigmatic station which is very important. The quality of the article is similar to The Flame, a previously featured article. -- Sam T C 19:26, 7 August 2008 (PDT)
- Slight Agree Considering the little information we know about it, you did an excellent job at formulating all the information you possibly could from what we saw. It was a very important part of season 4.--Jinx 15:04, 11 August 2008 (PDT)
Martin Keamy
- Nominated by: CTS
- Keamy was a huge part of Season 4 and led the freighties in a season-long effort to capture Ben Linus. He's by far one of Lost's most iconic villains. This article has some great pictures and is well-written. -- CTS Talk Contribs 12:09, 8 August 2008 (PDT)
- Later: The mercenary team article was featured a short time ago, but would be for better AOTW sometime in the future, perhaps during S5. -- Sam T C 13:06, 8 August 2008 (PDT)
- Later: Agree, Keamy's assigned missions (Capturing Ben and Torching the Island) were failures, but his primary other actions (killing Alex and (maybe) Rousseau and Karl) will have fallout. It'll be a good idea to remind folks of of Keamy's operations in a few months.--Jim in Georgia Talk Contribs 13:55, 8 August 2008 (PDT)
- Disagree Don't think it should ever be article of the week! I think CTS and I just have VERY differnat tastes in characters! bringlibbyandcharlieback Talk Contribs 18:35, 13 August 2008 (PDT)
- Whether or not you like the character is irrelevant. This is about the quality of the article. -- Sam T C 18:36, 13 August 2008 (PDT)
Michael Dawson
- Nominated by: CTS
- Michael has been through a lot of history on the Island, including building the raft, captured by the Tailies, and leading a rescue mission for Walt. He betrayed the survivors in one of Lost's most shocking moments, and then left on a boat (leaving Jack, Kate, and Sawyer in the Others' hands). He later returned on the Kahana to redeem himself for his actions (which he did by saving the Oceanic Six). Michael's story-arc is very unique too: he was a main characters in Seasons 1 and 2, and he wasn't seen throughout Season 3, but he came back for his long-awaited return in Season 4. This is one of the best-written character articles I've seen, and Michael should definitely be featured.
- Agree. Michael is one of the more complex characters in the series. The plot could not have been advanced without "a" Michael or a collection of people doing the things he did.--Jim in Georgia Talk Contribs 13:02, 11 August 2008 (PDT)
- Agree: Wonderfully written article, I think. -- Sam T C 15:21, 11 August 2008 (PDT)
- Agree: Great character article, although we have had two in a row, so not straight away. --Blueeagleislander 01:13, 12 August 2008 (PDT)
- Agree: A character that is very intricate and has a lot of depth. Even though I think Sayid should have thrown him overboard for betraying us.:P The article obviously has great quality and should be showcased.--JinxTalk Contribs 11:45, 19 August 2008 (PDT)
