Michelle was an Oceanic Airlines flight attendant aboard Oceanic Flight 815.

Michelle helps Locke. ("Exodus, Part 2")

Before the flight, Michelle along with another flight attendant, JD, assisted Locke onto the plane when the special wheelchair for loading disabled passengers went missing. She is then seen at the entrance to the plane when the other passengers board Oceanic Flight 815. ("Exodus, Part 2")

During the flight, Michelle was serving drinks to the passengers, two of whom were US Marshal Edward Mars and his prisoner, fugitive Kate Austen. When she questioned the Marshal as to what he’d like, she seemed unhappy when he asked for black coffee, most likely because he called her "sweetheart". Then, she went to the tail section and make the black coffee for Edward Mars. ("Pilot, Part 2")

Soon after the tail section separated from the rest of the plane and she was killed during the crash.

Trivia

• Michelle was first seen as "Flight Attendant #3" in "Pilot, Part 1" and gained a name in the flashback of episode "Exodus, Part 2".
• Her character is named after the actress Michelle Arthur, who portrays her.
