The Staff is a DHARMA Initiative station used as a medical facility. The Others seem to have infrequently used the station for the treatment of their pregnant women.
The station's name and location are noted on the blast door map; it appears to be located in the western portion of the Island. No Staff-specific orientation film has been found, and unlike the Swan and the Arrow stations, there is no "quarantine" warning on any of the doors of the station.

History
DHARMA Initiative
It is unknown exactly what, or for how long, the DHARMA Initiative used the Staff. Staff members were seen applying vaccines to people arriving on the Island. Also, it was visible that medical kits at the other stations were provided by Staff station, as indicated by their Staff logo. ("Enter 77") ("The Man Behind the Curtain")
On the blast door map, the Staff is clearly visible along with a notation referring to it as "Caduceus", which is the proper name for the station's logo. Another notation speculates that the Staff was abandoned in 1985 after "the AH/MDG incident", or because of the failure of the "Cerberus system". There is also a notation reading, "But could be #6"; however, it is unclear if this notation refers to the Staff. ("Lockdown").
The Others
Based on Claire's flashbacks, and Juliet's knowledge of the station, the Others apparently used the Staff for quite some time, specifically for the medical treatment and research of their dying pregnant women. ("Maternity Leave") ("D.O.C.")
After being abducted by Ethan, Claire was taken there and was administered an unknown amount of drugs and had an unknown amount of medical procedures performed on her. It appeared as though they were planning on taking her unborn child from her at this facility. After her escape, the Others stored all of the medical equipment in a secret vault and abandoned the station. ("Maternity Leave")
The Staff was revisited by Claire, along with Kate and Rousseau, as they searched for answers about Claire's abduction. ("Maternity Leave")
Later, Juliet went there with Sun to give her an ultrasound. ("D.O.C.")
Other Visitors
The station was later visited again by Jin, Sun, Daniel Faraday, and Charlotte Lewis who came to the station looking for operating utensils. ("Something Nice Back Home")
The Station
The Staff is divided into several rooms connected by a central corridor.
Main entrance
The doors of the station prominently display the Staff logo. When it was revisited by Claire, the doors were covered with a plastic sheet and camouflaged with leaves and branches. Past the doors, there are stairs leading down to the central corridor. By the stairs is also a small locker containing working flashlights. ("Maternity Leave")
Corridor
A total of seven doors are visible in the Staff's corridor: a double door leading to the examination room, two doors leading to the nursery, a door leading to the locker room, a pair of doors facing each other and leading to unknown rooms, and a door mysteriously labeled "Escape Hatch". It is unknown where the door labeled "Escape Hatch" leads to, or if it actually is an escape hatch.
Kate used what appeared to be a circuit breaker to restore power when searching the Staff with Claire. ("Maternity Leave")
After the station's abandonment, the corridor's ceiling apparently sustained severe damage.
Operating theater
One of the rooms in the Staff was used as an operating theater. Before Flight 815 crashed, the Others, including Juliet, Ethan, and Goodwin, performed surgery in this room on a pregnant woman named Sabine. ("One of Us")
During her captivity, Claire was given prenatal care in the operating theater by Ethan. This was also where she was injected with an unknown substance labeled CR 481516-23 42. Later, the Others appeared to be preparing the room for surgery, presumably the induced childbirth of Aaron. ("Maternity Leave")
Among the equipment visible was an Acoustic Imaging 5200 ultrasound scanner, which was first marketed in 1992. There was also a cupboard containing a large quantity of the CR 481516-23 42 bottles. When the station was abandoned, this equipment was moved into storage in a secret vault by the Others. ("Maternity Leave")
Nursery
Another room in the Staff was used as a nursery, where Claire was kept during her captivity. It was decorated and stocked as if it were to be where Aaron would live for an indefinite amount of time. This room also had its contents stored in the secret vault post-abandonment, but traces of the wall decorations were still partially visible, indicating the long-term use of this room as a nursery. Among the furniture in the room was a cradle that had a mobile with Oceanic airplanes hanging from it. The plane mobile played the song "Catch a Falling Star", which Claire requested be sung to the baby after his adoption. The cradle in the nursery was the same cradle seen by Claire in a dream where searched for her baby, but only uncovered heavy bloodstains under the cradle's sheets. ("Raised by Another")
Also in the nursery was a picture of a boat on the wall resembling the boat used in the Others' abduction of Walt. ("Maternity Leave") ("Exodus, Part 2")
Locker room
One of the rooms in the Staff contains lockers; at least two rows of double-tiered lockers, and one row of single-tiered lockers, all of which all have the Staff Logo emblazoned on the exteriors. ("Maternity Leave")
Kate examined one of these lockers and discovered the disguises worn by the Others, including the wool cap Tom wore when he kidnapped Walt. Also among the contents of the locker was a brown leather case containing an old DHARMA pharmaceutical bottle labeled "[[RX-1 GND|Theatrical Glue]]" and a fake beard, presumably the one worn by Tom. Juliet used a tape recorder hidden in the locker room to communicate with Ben during her time living with the survivors. Also, a secret vault can be accessed from the locker room. ("D.O.C.")
Vault
Behind one of the walls of the locker room is a secret, vault-like chamber. The chamber has a door approximately one foot thick and secured by a series of solid-metal cylinders, each several inches in diameter. The chamber is accessed by throwing a large switch hidden in one of the lockers located in front of the door. The vault has electric lighting and a sink providing running water. ("D.O.C.")
When Juliet led Sun into the vault, it contained all of the medical equipment and nursery furniture seen during Claire's time at the Staff. Sun questioned why the chamber was hidden, but Juliet told her not to worry about it. After Sun pressured Juliet, she admitted the room was where the Other's women were brought to die. ("D.O.C.")

Trivia
General
- The names of the stations appear to be related to Apollo from Greek mythology. The symbol for this station is the Caduceus staff, which according to Greek Mythology, it originally belonged to Apollo who eventually traded it to Hermes.
