Recently on Lostpedia, in order to give Lostpedia readers their Lost fixes over the long, eight month hiatus, I have been conducting interviews with cast members and crew members about their experience acting on Lost. Along with Lost Soul, I have secured a great number of interviews with several prominent members of the cast and crew, as well as with several minor ones.

My first interview was with Steven Labrash (pictured right), who portrayed the Morgue employee in "Not in Portland". He was very nice and receptive to the idea of an interview, and the interview was conducted over the course of two days. In it, Mr. Labrash shared such facts as his reluctance to allow the Lost crew to film in the morgue, "geeking out" about Zjelko Ivanek, and cut lines. You can read the interview here.

My next interview was with Sean Douglas Hoban, a background actor since the beginning of the series, who played the redshirt Doug (the first one to be shot in "The Shape of Things to Come"and was a stunt double for Dominic Monaghan. Sean Douglas was very nice, and answered eight questions about original casting, hopes for Doug, and interactions between extras and Lost cast members. The interview was posted on Lostpedia on June 22. It is available for reading here.

I later got an interview with Paul Edney, another background actor who played on the show during early season one. He was happy to help with the interview. The interview was short, only five questions long, but I still found it informative, especially regarding his work on the Pilot, and his projects since then. The interview can be read here.

I then secured an interview with Others background actor Thomas Hannsz. Though originally unsure of my legitimacy, I convinced him that I really worked for Lostpedia, and he was willing to be interviewed. Alongside working as a background Other, he also painted both Jacob's painting and Black Rock Storm, two paintings used on the show. The interview went very well, and was posted here.

I then conducted an interview with April Parker-Jones, who portrayed Dr. Erika Stevenson in Jack's flashforward "Something Nice Back Home". She was very, very nice and happy to do an interview, and it went well, without a hitch. The very informative interview has been posted, in which she discusses John Terry, cutting room floors, and her time management. You can find this interview here.

Another interview I recently conducted (the list goes on and on) was with Alex Petrovitch. Alex protrayed Henrik on two episodes of Lost,
"Live Together, Die Alone" and "There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3". He was one of the first I contacted, and he was more than willing to do an interview. We did the interview, and he was very nice and his interview was great! I enjoyed giving it and reading his answers. He even offered to post a link to it on his official website. Of course, this is a great opportunity for myself as well as Lostpedia. The interview, in which he talked about actors he admire, his accent, and hopes for returning, is posted here.

One major interview I arranged was with the help of Lost Soul. This interview is with Rebecca Mader, the actress who portrays Charlotte Lewis, a main character. I am very excited about this interview. I think it is very good, informative, and much more. The transcript will be posted here on July 13, 2008.

I then conducted an interview (around the same time as the Alex Petrovitch one) with actor Christian Bowman. Bowman portrayed background character Steve throughout season one, and played the corpse of Scott in "Homecoming". Bowman then left the show. However, in his interview, he discussed the ongoing Steve and Scott in-joke, as well as many other great things. The interview can be read here.

The interview that followed was with Bobby Roth, director of the fan-favorite episode "The Man Behind the Curtain". He was very nice and eager to do an interview, and it went very well. Not only did he answer the questions comprehensively and eloquently, he also sent accompanying photographs from his time on set. I cannot wait for him to direct another episode, because I'd love to do a follow-up interview.

Next, I did an interview with John Henry Canavan, who portrayed Simon Pace in "Greatest Hits" but not in the episode "Fire + Water" (that was Robin Atkin Downes). Mr. Canavan was very nice, and it was a great interview. Some of the things he talked about, such as attempting to make Desmond and Charlie brothers could possibly explain several things in his scene (most notably the background person yelling "Desmond." He also gave a hint as to what he'd been working on since Lost. Fun interview.

The second very large interview I secured was with Francois Chau, who portrays the multi-aliased DHARMA spokesperson most commonly known as Marvin Candle. He agreed to answer a few questions for the site. Mr. Chau was very helpful, and answered many questions, which revealed such information as hinting at the identity of the cameraman, the correct spelling of "Pierre Chang," and much more. The interview was posted, and you can read it here.

I also did an interview with Faith Fay. Faith Fay was a background actress for the first two seasons portraying the fan-loved Sexy Blue Striped Shirt Girl. The interview was great, and included a full history of her character, written by Fay. The interview is available for reading here.

Soon afterwards, I did an interview with Lanny Joon, an actor who played Dr. Bae (who delivered Ji Yeon Kwon in "Ji Yeon". It was fun, and Mr. Joon was very open with the interview. It went very well. The interview is posted, and you can read it here.

After that soon came an interview with
Achilles Gacis, a stuntman who had doubled for Terry O'Quinn as well as portraying three different roles in Lost, as Six Foot Five, an orderly, and most famously, as Guy in car from "There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3". Mr. Gacis is also the head of the Hawaii Stunt Connection. He was very gracious and nice, and the interview can be read here. He also was kind enough to send me the contact details for Dale Radomski.

Dale Radomski also did an interview with me. Radomski
is perhaps best known as the tourniquet man from "Pilot, Part 1" (the character who first brought Jack and Locke together,) though he also played a background other in season two. Mr. Radomski was very gracious as well, and did the interview graciously. He told me to lobby for his return to the show, which perhaps I may be doing soon. The interview was great. Wanna read it? See here.

I did an interview with actress Robin Weigert as well, one of the more prominent guest stars of the third season. Weigert portrayed Juliet's sister Rachel in the episodes "Not in Portland" and "One of Us". Mrs. Weigert was very nice, and I really enjoyed the interview with her, because she made every question lengthy and interesting, when in reality, all these questions would have been very boring. Ms. Weigert was a pleasure to speak to, and one of my favorite interviewees. You can read her interview here.

Towards the beginning of my interview "career," I had emailed Shishir Kurup through his website about potentially doing an interview. He had graciously agreed, and I sent him the questions. I didn't hear from him for about a month, so I sent him another email, and through his reply, discovered that his inbox had crashed, and he had lost both the original questions and my address. Of course, I sent the questions back to him, and he answered them, one of which told me several "six degrees," links I didn't know. Mr. Kurup was very pleasant, and his interview was posted here.

I have also secured interviews with Andy Page, Keir O'Donnell, Robert Greygrass, John Williamson, and many others which will be posted over the long hiatus. Many more interviews are likely to be confirmed as well. Currently, I have enough material to where, if one or two interviews per week was posted, the interviews would continue until September 21st.

If you have any suggestions for an interview, please contact me on my talk page or contact Lost Soul's talk page with your suggestions. Thanks.

Movies

I have many favorite movies. Across the Universe is my all-time favorite movie, with Cloverfield in a close second. However, my favorite genre is experimental film. Donnie Darko, Fight Club, and Revolver are some of my favorites of the genre. Other movies that I love include The Brothers Grimm, 300, Raiders of the Lost Ark, No Country for Old Men,, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and There Will be Blood.

Television

Lost is, hands down, my favorite television show of all time. However, there are many others I enjoy. Carnivale is the one I'm watching now, and I'm really enjoying it. Heroes, House and The Tudors are shows I also enjoy. And what's wrong with Flight of the Conchords every now and then?
