bring back the casualties petition

After the events that happend with deleting the 5 casualty articles, me and some other users started a petition for bringing those articles back on Lostpedia. If you share our opinion on this matter, please sign the "Save The Redshirts" section on my user page. If you want you could contact other users about this or create a "Save the redshirts" section on your user page, because the goal is to get as many users to sign the petition as possible along with 6 SysOps (Admins). I would appriciate a quick respond and a sign on either my user page or User:LostCloverfield42's page. --O r h a n 9 4

 • To sign the petition go to my user page and follow the instructions there listed under "Save the Redshirts"--O r h a n 9 4 10:21, 16 June 2008 (PDT)

Richard Alpert/John Locke Item Selection Theories

 • Hey Jinx, thanks for letting me know about my mistakes. I'm fairly new to the editing game on Lostpedia, so i appreciate your help with some of the ettiquite. I did not intend to remove any of your comments, so I apologize for whatever it was I removed. Also, I'll be sure to rephrase my comment from a question. I enjoy your theories, keep posting!--Twobucks 20:37, 31 July 2008 (PDT)

Quotes

Hi, I moved your quotes to LP:QOTD where I'm compiling quotes for the quote generator. --Blueeagleislander 00:14, 30 July 2008 (PDT)

Interviews

Hi-

Point well taken on the interview question. I put my argument below yours at Talk:Canon#Interviews.--Jim in Georgia Talk Contribs 14:39, 30 July 2008 (PDT)

Sandbox

No problem. I used to write code for a living and wiki still brings me to my knees.

Type "User:Jinx/Sandbox" (without the quote marks!) in the search box at the left of the screen. Click on the Go button. You'll get one of two things (can't remember). Lostpedia will either take you to an new, empty Sandbox or you'll see a message that says something like "Page does not exist. Click here to create it."

It probably doesn't matter, but I like to put something on the page immediately in case there's some system tool that looks for empty ("unused") pages.

--Jim in Georgia Talk Contribs 05:50, 2 August 2008 (PDT)

I'm too befuddled right now to tell if you were successful in creating a sandbox. If you were, would you consider copying and pasting the following to your userpage?

It's a template I built using the format of the portal graphics. You'll see a picture of a sandbox; clicking on it should take you to your sandbox.

This is a test. This is only a test. <grin> It works for me.

Thanks,

--Jim in Georgia Talk Contribs 14:54, 11 August 2008 (PDT)

It might work anyway if you use "Jinx Sandbox" instead of "Jinx/Sandbox". You can also ask a sysop to delete the bad page.--Jim in Georgia Talk Contribs 15:04, 11 August 2008 (PDT)

DHARMA booth video

Hello there! There appears to be more dispute over on the DHARMA booth video talk page about that pesky "Jennifer" line. If you wouldn't mind, could you pop in to weigh in on the situation? I'm not entirely sure how to go about resolving this. Thanks a bunch. ~Iridia talk contribs 08:55, 2 August 2008 (PDT)

Hi, sorry, im new to editing, i didnt mean to delete anything. My bad. Vster88 talk | contributions 16:44, 2 August 2008 (PDT)

yo, jeremy davies was credited the voice in the video. this isnt opinion man. that should go on that page. Just letting you know. User:Allswell&lost /sig 19:10, 19 August 2008 (PDT)

i saw it somewhere.........................arghhhhhhhhhh!!!!! but i can't find it now

it/s not much of a secret, he has a very distinct "cowering" voice

that was a legitimate "unanswered question" what happened to OPEN source?

Until it's confirmed, nothing will be done. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  16:26, 19 August 2008 (PDT)
So, no more editing the wiki pages again? Even with relevant information that nearly points out an unanswered question in the video. interesting...
So, non-admins are only allowed to comment in the theory section?? And I have yet to garner a reaction from someone of disbelief when faced with the question of whether or not that is Faraday. His voice is too unique to mistake.

With pleasure, but I'll get back to you tomorrow or maybe later this evening. It depends on how exciting the Olympics are....--Jim in Georgia Talk Contribs 15:13, 11 August 2008 (PDT)

The Olympics were exciting. Here we go....

This is my version of the instructions from the help page. If this one seems complicated, compare them.

It looks like you've already done the two page (sig and autosig) things. If not:

copy and paste one your sig (with codes) on the page; the second version includes access to your talk and contributions pages; I used my colors so play around as needed. I read somewhere that including them is "good form."

<font size="4" face="Impact"><span style="color:#7AE4FF">Jinx</span></font>

<font size="4" face="Impact"><span style="color:#7AE4FF">Jinx</span><span style="background-color:#0000FF;color:#FF0000">Talk </span><span style="background-color:#0000FF;color:#000000">Contribs</span></font>

copy and paste this (and nothing else):

onto the autosig page.

Finally, in Special:Preferences, do the following:

 • In the nickname section type or paste
 • Ensure that the name in the nickname section is between double curly brackets, i.e. and .
 • Tick (check) the raw signatures checkbox (this is vital as it ensures that when you sign only the signature will be shown, and not all the color codes etc that you've used to make it).

Click the save button at the bottom of the page.

You should be good to go.

--Jim in Georgia Talk Contribs 08:10, 12 August 2008 (PDT)

You're welcome. You're still bleeding all your codes onto pages when you sign. Try checking again to make sure that raw signatures box IS checked. Take a look at the details about clearing your cache at the bottom, too. Don't forget to click the save.--Jim in Georgia Talk Contribs 13:19, 12 August 2008 (PDT)

Portal:DHARMA Stations

Hi JinxTalk Contribs. I think it should still be a page, but I do agree that Portal:DHARMA Initiative members needs a stations section. But please dont delete it. Thanks.--DF3 Talk 15:10, 24 August 2008 (PDT)

Hi! I know that Portal:DHARMA Initiative members needs a stations section, and I do agree but Portal:DHARMA Stations is my favorite page on the site. If you can not delete Portal:DHARMA Stations after you merge the articles, it would be great. Thanks!!!--DF3 Talk 15:53, 16 September 2008 (PDT)

Hey JinxTalk Contribs. Will you delete Portal:DHARMA Stations after you merge Portal:DHARMA Initiative members and Portal:DHARMA Stations? Please write back. Thanks!--DF3 Talk 11:30, 13 October 2008 (PDT)

Re:Fringe on LP Discussion

Hey Jinx, I saw that you said Fringe the show would be cool. Me and three other lostpedians have joined a new wiki site dedicated to Fringe. See it Here—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bulldogdispatch (talkcontribs) .

No Prob --JPB. T. C. E. 06:07, 4 September 2008 (PDT)
Jim in georgia and DocH already told me that. I am working on the advertising. The wiki is actually doing good and recently I made a whole site for it: fringewiki.info. We already have a lot of pages and pics. The spoiler and cannon policy DocH I think is working on. Cheers and thanks, --JPB. T. C. E. 20:10, 7 September 2008 (PDT)

RE: Edit count

Hi Jinx. To view your edit count, just click on "My Preferences" at the top of any page. It will then show how many edits you have. -- CTS  Talk   Contribs 17:16, 20 September 2008 (PDT)

Episode reception

I noticed in the history of your edits on the episode reception that you had added some reviews from the fourth and first seasons of Lost. I think that this article could be potentially great, but it has been forgotten, somewhat. It would be fantastic if you could come back and help me add more. Thanks. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  20:13, 2 October 2008 (PDT)
